Pui Lin gave me these photos of Halo so I am putting them here. I still think Boomer is cuter but hey - I'm only slightly biased seeing as I only like one cat in the world!

Roadkill kitten

Around the corner from us is a little kitten which is always asleep in the sun in front of their house. All very good and well except it always looks like it's roadkill! It is a mixed coloured kitten and has a large moulting grey coloured back which if unfortunate combined with it's inclination to sleep in the middle of it's owner's/carers drive!

The first time I saw it, I had to walk past really slowly to see if it was ok - even Yu You doesn't bark at it! Earlier this week Yu You decided to become a rebelious teenager and wouldn't come back to me and ran away into people's gardens. She saw Roadkill kitten and went to investigate but although the kitten was hissing and doing other cat like defence actions, Yu You didn't chase it or bark. I think she was just surprised it was actually not dead!

One day I am going to sneak a picture of it...

Yu You got punished for running away though - the things she hates most - she was locked out of my office for a few hours. I am not sure it worked though as she is still a bit rebelious this week albeit very clingy. One day I hope she will come when called...
