Getting there

Yu You's mouth is getting better now. Her left side is all healed but her right might need a couple more days as she still wants to scratch it.

We went to Troon today and she saw the beach for the first time. I didn't let her off her leash though as I didn't want her to jump on anyone. She was very excited to smell the new smells though and had a big smile on face all day. I forgot my camera though so will need to take pictures next time.

The bad news is that she seems to have regressed a bit with her house training this week. :( Sigh. Bit depressed about it now.

Brief Update

Yu You's mouth is slowly healing. I have resorted to using a hair band to keep her sock on longer but she still manages to take it off during the night. Better than nothing though!

Boomer hasn't caught any more creatures - Phew!

Boomer News!

Boomer caught her first mouse last week! I forgot to blog it as was worried about Yu You's ulcers (yes I am biased) but apparently she brought it into the house in her mouth and Daniel found her holding it on the sofa. Yuck!

He managed to pick her up and put her outside with it where upon Boomer dropped the mouse. It was just stunned and ran away again. Phew! We obviously taught her not to bite down well!

I am a little concerned that this is just the start and one day she will drop a live mouse in the house. At least a dead one can be swpt up without much problem but if there is ever a live one I may have to scream like the girlie I am!

Anyway, we are proud parents. First catch!

Yu You's Shoes - kind of.

Her pink boots...

Yu You in my gloves - please do not call the RSPCA!

In her custom made socks... ok, these are the gloves cut up and designed by moi. It's for her own good!

Elizabeth Arden

Yu You keeps scratching! I had to go on an emergency run to Pets at Home to get her something to cover her nails as she scratched and ended up with blood down her face!

They only had one pair though and they are not very classy but at least they were cheap! I have taken a photo but I've not managed to put it online yet as the mac is apparently on it's last legs. It is very funny though! She's like a baby elephant learning to walk and we have it on video. I must figure out You Tube so you can see!

A top tip is Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour cream. It's fab! I use it as a lip balm (only thing better than Vasaline!) and I remembered it's slightly antiseptic so I have been putting some on Yu You's sores. It's a tube not a stick for those who do not know! I am not *that* obsessed! Anyway, I think it might be working as it seems to be helping the cuts heal a bit faster - as long as I can get her to stop scratching!!

I found this rather disturbing product though while looking at options online... Soft Claws. Now *that* is just strange!

Poor little doggie

Yu You has some mouth ulcers that are bleeding. They are on the side of her mouth and sadly, when she eats she opens them up. Poor Yu You! It looks quite painful and blood stains her hair :-(

The vet has given her some anti-biotics but it's going to be a challenge getting her to stop scratching at her lips. I may have to get doggie boots after all!
